EGG DONATION- INFORMATION |
Regarding Egg Donation treatment, is a quite straightforward procedure as there is no waiting list and donor availability is more than efficient.
All donors are tested regularly for HIV1,2, HCV, VDRL, HBsAg ,Vaginal swabs, according to the local law which is similar to HFEA, as well as karyotype and cystic fibrosis. Furthermore, a complete personal and family medical history is taken. Donors remain anonymous and only specific characteristics can be given, such as height, weight, colour of eyes and hair, complexion of skin as well as educational level and occupation. Donor matching is determined depending mainly on the physical characteristics, therefore we would be grateful if you could provide us with a photo of you. There is a wide variety of egg donors , so hopefully the decision will not be restricting.
All the donors living in Greece and most of them are Europeans.
We have also Africans and few Asian donors.
An initial consultation is required, which for the moment takes place in ‘’Ovum Fertility Consultants Group’’.
However, there is also a possibility to be organised as a 1 hour consultation with a Consultant embryologist in London. Additionally, both the recipient and the partner need to be checked for HIV1,2, HCV, HBsAg and VDRL.
